eCall and On Star – your car calls EMS !
eCall , is an electronic safety system in your car that can automatically call emergency medical services if you have an accident…anywhere in Europe !!! Even if you are unconscious, the system can inform EMS, of your exact location. As a result, crucial response time is saved without the need for any human intervention. If eCall was available in all cars, 2500 lives could be saved in the European Union every year.
The eCall-system is currently being rolled out across the EU. It is one of the most important road safety actions under the European Union’s “e-safety” initiative. eSafety seeks to improve road safety by applying “intelligent” safety systems based on advanced electronic technologies to road vehicles.

Since the late 90′s, alcohol-related driving deaths have been steadily increasing and consuming even a few drinks can impair driving. Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving.Drunk or impaired driving killed nearly 13,000 people in 2007.
